You might have a bad ground in the connector that comes from the turn signal switch. I can't remember if it's a red or yellow connector. My car is a 74, the wiring may be a little different. Just about every electrical problem I've had on my car has been ground related. After cleaning all the grounds and adding addional grounds to the steering column, rear wiring loom in the engine compartment. I have had no problems....Good Luck.
