turn Signal Switch

I have the turnsignal/headlight switch in my hand. I have a couple of questions. This started when I found that in the center position, if I touched it slightly the headlight would blink on an off. For the record.
1. What are the positions of the stick? Towards you,center and away from the driver.
2. How hard is it to take it apart and clean the contacts? There looks to be some little parts that are spring loaded that would whind up everywhere.
3. Research shows that SOBill rebuilds these. I looked for him at Panteraplace.com and saw someone else. Does SOBill still repair these?
4 while dropping the steering column, 2 body shims dropped out. Where to they go?
