Random story- At that lake there used to be wave runner rentals. They had a little course of buoys you could run and they would put your lap time up on a board.

I managed to cut a record-setting lap! On the following lap, I spun out and ran up onto the grass. For that reason, my previous lap time was invalidated, and I'm still looking for the appropriate sanctioning body so that I can file a formal protest 25 years after the fact.
