Money, congratulations on the sale of that nice Pantera. Congratulations also to the new owner.

I know Pantera Guys who have had 4 Panteras, 2 Panteras, etc. So, I have no doubt you'll have another one. True enough, it sort of hurts to spend $10,000 thinking it may only increase the value by $2,000 and I'm sure we don't plan to sell when we spend the $10,000.

The guy I bought my Pantera from was an aircraft mechanic who bought "an Insurance Salvage" 6 passenger Cessna Turbo Prop. He was restoring it and found a deal on a crate motor for $50,000 when they cost $75,000. So he was also selling his Harley Davidson to pay cash for the motor. He was in a hurry to get the project completed and sold for $350,000. So I got a deal.

This story demonstrates why deals come along. There are a lot of reasons. I am sure everyone is happy.

I think you see the Rip Van Winkle comment in proper context, with no insult intended. None of us want to see our Panteras suffer deflation. Panteras originally sold for $9,500 to $11,000 and are getting 3X that, 30 years later, keeping up with inflation, housing has done roughly the same. Shelbys may represent what housing prices have done in Boston or Silicon Valley (Palo Alto, CA).

Hope the hype helped bring a quicker sale.
What was it, 6 days from the hype to the closing? Congratulations.
