Thanks Denis, those are great shots. The second pic clearly shows that relay #4 is a CARELLO part. Bad news is these CARELLO units seem impossible to find, new or used. (Googling them turns up amzingly little info!)....probably go with an appropriate Bosch part there.

I assume your signal flasher is the 'floating' unit shown towards the top of the middle pic (wires should be yellow/black, red/black, and brown/black). If that's the case, what is the first unit on the left (i.e., the one that has the external fuse)? I don't have enough loose wires to feed both
