noisy and vibrating are normally a misalignment problem. the use of flexable coupling and mounts allow the quick assembly without spending time to align and have "good enough" operation.

with out seeing and hearing while running I can only assume alignment would be causing your noise.

just a unqualified observation, the rubber mounts used on the plate seem like they would be a problem. first, just having freedom on the one side means the recoiling movement would be hammering the fixed nut.

another concern with the rubber mounts is that they would allow the alignment to be in constant change. I could also see thier snugging up could cause angular misalignment
