I don't know about the 50 sets part. I had three sets myself.
They aren't as nice as you think.
You can't really strip them and polish because of the material they are made of. It's more of a pot metal then it is aluminum.
Personally if you want a comp cover that is different and trick try the Blue Thunder units.
