My suggestion if you are running a flat tappet cam is to install the springs correctly and this means using a force gauge that is calibrated so that the pressures are correct ( open and closed ). Otherwise you'll be changing the cam later because of a worn lobe due to incorrect pressures. I know first hand from this experience !
