There wasnt any barrier on 6915. What i used was a clear plastic sheeting that was about 10ml thick and windsheild ribbon its also called strip chalk they are 3m products.outline the door with it and stick the plastic to it.It stands up to the heat and wont melt and drip out from behind the door panel.I also used this around all the plastic body plugs and wiring to stop water leaks.
