This engineering part number did have North American applications and believe it or not, is still listed as an active part number sold under the Service Part Number F5RZ-9E731-CB. This version should still be available through local US Ford dealers. Hopefully, this helps to clarify some of the mystery behind the part numbers.... By the way, this part number also doesn't specify auto or manual transmission so all you can do is assume that it was used on both...

Yeah! A US Ford Parts Person! I thankyou for the effort of this research. I greatly appreciate it and am forever in your debt.

I will try that number now and see if it comes up.

Did I ask what the US application was? The reason being that if it goes "D99" (no available sources in the US) then I can ask for an AFTERMARKET PART if I know what car it is for.

It really is an amazing system if you know what car the part is for.

Anyway a million thanks.

OK, just tried the part on the web at www.uniqueford.com. (he's my parts guy, ask for Ken, you'll love these guys).

The part lists for $47.64 and they sell it for $33.35.
The listed application is Sender Assembly, 95 Ford Contour/Mystique, 2.5L V6, auto trans.

There ya' go. That wasn't so hard now was it? Few.
