In my experience with the 351c, the pumps that use the sheet metal impellers work much better then the cast impellers.

I don't know why, but I think this is an area where cars with a lot more then 500hp and are in a hot climate are showing capacity issues with the original cooling system.

There is going to be a debate about whether it is better to have more flow through the system or a larger capacity system with slower flow.

I can say that where I am in NY, the Wieand pump does fine with the stock cooling components.

Again, I didn't add cooling responsibility to the water cooling with the oil cooler. I also have aluminum heads and intake manifold.

The way the Weber intake manifold is made with it's individual runners those work as heat sinks would on an electronics board.

Little things that you do sometimes aren't noticeable right off but when you do a lot of little things they become effective.
