I have installed a Davies-craig electric water pump into the lower radiater hose (initially to get rid of the mech water pump so as to have a flat firewall) and found that the engine ran too cool, so I had to install the optional pump contoller kit. It now runs at 160. This is a great alternative to stock pumps and works great.
