At 4:05 I was walking back from the postal drop box in the back. Walking down the sidewalk from 50 yards away, I see her, the best looking lady I've seen all day lng. So, I took the 45 degree angle across the parking lot and met up with her at the crosswalk. "Hello, you're the best looking lady I've seen all day." Pause, wait for the reaction... Smile, a laugh and the usual "Thank you." Some small talk, "I saw you walking this way the other day. My office is right here... you must park down the street or something." She says "Yeah, I park over there. So this is your office?" Some more small talk from me before I ask THE QUESTION, as we're crossing the street and walking down the sidewalk, calculating I have to make this fast.... "Yeah, I've been in this building been here 4 years and was in that building 9 years." Pause. The question: "how does a guy like myself get a date with you?" A little awkward feeling, I decide to polish it up same and delivery the question again, so as to not seem so smoothe about it... "I mean, how can I, me, get a date with you?" She says, after she looks me in the eyes for a while, she had stopped walking... "I have a boyfriend." Hmm,I've heard that before... "So how's it going with him, your boyfriend?" She's looking in my eyes a while again. "OK. Alright. I've known him for a long time..." she said. "Well, it's been nice talking to you, Maybe I'll see you agin, here's my office, what's your name?" So she told me her name and I did the same. Then she put out her hand, and while continuing to stare in my eyes with her green eyes, she offered me her hand and gave me a nice, long, soft handshake.

So, George, I aim to inspire you with a little experience, and encourage you with that story, so try out the pick up line. I've had very good luck with it. There is always a good reaction. Pick out the lady who you think is very beautiful, that way she'll see the sincerelty in your eyes, as you break the ice. The sooner you try it, the sooner you'll see it works and is very easy to do.
Don't be surprised if you hear she has a boyfriend. It happens. Think of what you're going to say when you find out she doesn't have a boyfriend. If you try it 10 times a week, you'll definitely be finding yourself in an interesting situation. I missed an opportunity or two already, in the last week, to deliver the pick-up line, and vow to be ready and just make the approach and delivery more often.
