Can't you now just switch the half shafts? If you are worried about the exhaust hitting the � shafts, then maybe take a look at where your exhaust travels first (logical, but an easy thing to forget until it is done). On one of my cars I have the shafts one way and on the other I have it the opposite. Getting that smaller part of the � shaft where the exhaust pipe goes sure helps prevent (somewhat) denting in the exhaust pipe when jacking the car up.
