The Cleveland platform as stock in the Pantera differed from 1971 to mid 1972, the heads in the early version are what is referred to as "Quenched" referring to the combustion chamber design and higher compression ( 11 to 1 ). the second iteration was a hemispherical combustion chamber, this head lowered the compression to ( 8.5 to 1 )due to emission restrictions, that said, the flow is critical from the exhaust side and a good set of high flow headers will improve the performance dramatically, I found the Hall big bore headers restrictive at the collector and inadequate.
