I'm going to get some quotes from Butfoy today if I can reach them.
It may be cheaper to change the "gear set" at $900 then to do a ring and pinion at $3900, maybe.
The question is first gear. 2.23 is too high. The 2.58 first gear would be better.
Third gear is wrong at 1.04. It should be the 1.14 or as high as you can get it.
Fourth gear is wrong at .86. It should be around 1.
And last but not least 5th is wrong at .7. It should be around .85.
One could go two ways. Either run a 4.6 or run a different gear set.
I'm surprized the '40s first gear wasn't higher. I suppose because the car is so light they could get away with that.
Unfortunately the Pantera is 800 pounds heavier. It needs better launching capabilaty.
