Reply to "What is a '74 North American GTS worth?"

Got a look at the GTS this morning.
It's the real thing!
THGTPL07079*
13,332 miles with no reason to question it.

After seeing all the photos of lovingly cared for cars on this forum, it was disappointing and kinda sad to see one so forlorn and neglected.

I would say that 95% of the car is OEM original.
Rad & Fans
Engine still has all the vacuum lines hooked up for pollution controls
7 & 8 Campi's
Shocks still have spacers in place
etc. etc.

There is a radio/casette installed with door speakers
Mirrors riveted to the door skins with a hole drilled through the door for the remote adjust.

Overall condition is a mixed bag
Rust free! No signs of rust, either surface or underneath
A few paint chips and a little door ding in the middle of the driver's door. Rest of the body is beautifully straight.

Paint on both trunk lid and engine hatch is spider webbed fairly badly.

Interior is very good. No rips or tears. Dash is good, headlner looks like new, seats are good, carpet is dirty but looks fine. No cracks in console or guage panel.

All electricals worked perfect. Lights, buckets, signals, heater fan, A/C fan, interior lights etc.

Car was last driven in 2002. Has sat un-started since then. Empty gas tank. Oil looked like new.
I personally, would give this car a complete going over before driving it, but may need very little to make it road worthy?

I have no financial attachment to this car what so ever. I'm just trying to help this 25 year old lady sell her dad's car.

She has a firm offer of 37,000 CND, and has no interest in getting involved with the details of selling an old car.
I recommended she take the offer.

Will attach a photo album.
