What is this part?.......

Here's the story. I am in the process of removing a bunch of (what I feel is) crap that the previous owner installed in my car..ie large stereo, speakers, amplifiers, goofy alarm system.

Anyway, while removing some of the wiring I came across this BOSCH part. Wiring came off the battery term, in through the firewall, into this adapter and to the main power plug for a stereo. Ok, no biggie. Then I noticed that it split off and was connected to my fuel gauge? What is the deal with that? I didn't want to mess with it without trying to find out what it is first.

It shows on it:

BOSCH 12V 20/30A 0 332 204 150

There are 4 connectors being used and one in the middle that nothing is plugged in to.

The car isn't running right now, but should be by the end of this week....hopefully.
