A lot of the Boss 2 racers wouldn't even tack weld the push rod guides back together. They just leave them individually. I never even heard of them spinning that way.

I say better to be say then sorry. A weld there is gonna look ugly. Don't worry about it. The Concourse Judges never take off the valve covers.
