When I talked to Santiago at his father's funeral, he told me that he believed it was not possible for DeTomaso to produce a new model or to be competitive in today's automotive world.

What you or I think is irrelevant - if that's the opinion of the guy in charge, that is what is going to happen.

What we have seen since is basically a result of that conviction, I am afraid.
