I can't help you there, but that is what I would do... Sell the existing engine and buy a brand new one. I think you would come out far ahead financially. It isn't worth much $$ as a core for a rebuild, but it would be worth a few thousand I imagine at least, and could help pay for a portion of a crate engine...
