Jack, I got your artical that you wrote in poca newsletter(august 1998). Jack I need to know about the bearing #'s. on Timkin 354x and x30308, y30308. the numbers don't match anything in the timkin catalogue. I went to a timkin dealer and he said that the x on 354 wasn't in his catalogue he had 354 and 354a but no x. and the same with the x and y on 30308. he had just the plain 30308 number. What can I do to get the right bearings? I hope you can help me. Jack for the outboard seal you had to make it thinner to use it do you think that I could find a thinner seal with the right circumference? where would I look?
