Reply to "Wheel help needed"

The first wheel shown does look like the Coddington built Campy clone sold through Pantera East. PI Motorsports offers a more exacting representation of the original Campy but ours is built by one of the suppliers for Kinesis not Mr. Coddington. The PI Motorsports wheel is built out of 6061-T6 forged aluminum with one piece aluminum spun outer rim. The PI Motorsports wheel is called the Heritage and a set of four with the center caps and Isis logo sells for $1,995. for PI Members. The Tjaarda designed Torino is built in the same manner. Mr. Tjaarda designed the Torino for us and he told us that this was the design he originally had in mind for the Pantera and that he was very surprised when Alejandro DeTomaso went forward with a sketch of his instead of the final concept he had. Each set of Torino wheels comes with a signed certificate of authenticity by Mr. Tjaarda and are numbered. The wheels offered as the "Stroker" by Wheel Vintiques are a total rip-off of Mr. Tjaarda's design and without his authority. They made a dinky change to Mr. Tjaarda's design and have never paid royalties. Pathetic if you ask us. Heritage Wheel
