Don't forget the "Hammer Test" on the frame rails. My `73 L rear frame rails looked good showing no signs of rust, the factory undercoating did it's job, however when I tapped it with the hammer it caved in. I have since made a template and had a sheet metal man make me some new ones out of 18 gauge galv. for less then $20 each.
