Been there, done that...

For those not yet versed in what Adams is referring to, here are two photos which will show what is involved.

This is a pinch bolt clamp. It is designed to apply clamping force to a shaft that goes through the round hole. Note how the bolt enters into the inner diameter of the shaft hole.
