Don't feel bad, I took a radical cam out of a 64 vette. It drove better, started better and it still had more power that the car could take. I also put 350 sbc heads on a tuned port 304 reducing the compression to about 8-1 It ran ok too, but it sounded kinda like a six cly. Our cars don't have to prove anything, just read the history books, it's been there and beat the best.
