The 427 side oiler was/is a great block, with a mains priority oiling system and cross-bolted main caps. The FE engine has alot of loyal enthusiasts. I'm happy for them.
SJ Performance of Australia has an all aluminum Cleveland block in the works, featuring a revised oil system & iron liners allowing over bores in the 4.165" range (not sure how far). Its due to be on the market this Winter, the price you ask? Hold onto your wallet, $5K.
We can only hope new parts for the Cleveland engine continue to reach the market, the stuff available today is truly remarkable.
