Reply to "Why the habit of cutting notches in the plenum dividers of dual plane intake manifolds began"

I am wondering if the reason that the Dominator version of this manifold was down noticeably in the Super Ford dyno test, something like 25 hp. Was it because it didn't have the notch?

The regular Shelby Holley version sure does have it.
