From an aesthetics point of view, a properly installed GT-5 fiberglass conversion is preferred cause it matches the factory specs. It simply looks right.
I've never seen a steel conversion come close to the factory look. Either the flares are too big, or the front air dam doesn't look right, etc. Most of these are custom fabrications or Hall inventions...
Also, speaking from experience, flares that are installed correctly aren't moving anywhere..despite what some folks say
In the end, it's all a matter of taste and budget...
