All going totally by memory....
As stated, GT5 flares were in fiberglass.
At least one Pantera book states that the "S" in GT5-S stands for "steel", as the flares were all done in steel as opposed to the fiberglass flares of the GT5 cars.
Factory Group 4 cars had fiberglass rivetted on, with the exception of at least one factory Group 4 car that had steel flares welded on by the factory (allegedly the first Group 4 car)
What does this mean? There are enough factory variations so that whatever makes you happy can look "factory stock".
