Permatex Ultra Black Silicone

I have used this many times to successfully glue rubber gaskets together with a solid bond. Different rubbers may behave differently but I think it is worth a try

I would apply enough to have it ooze out of the joint and pull the two gasket edges tight using tape, razor blade or X-Acto to trim silicone off once everything dries
