If you're lucky, they were just tucked under the brake booster for hiding and you just need to pull them out. A little less lucky and they were pulled through into the cabin and tied up under the dash above the pedal box. Unluckier still: someone hacked them off and taped up the loom and you're going to need a contortionist and a bright light under there to find them. I hope you're lucky!
