Tom, before you rip the wiring apart, try a simple check. When my '72 wipers quit, I unplugged the multi-connector near the wipers in the right rear of the fends and sprayed both halves out with Contact Cleaner. When it dried, I plugged them back in and they've worked ever since. That was in 1985....
