True enough, but what I read is that he wants to replace his (as in existing) to "start fresh".

That's (the original Pantera harness) about a $2,800-3,000 harness to remanufacture now.

That is all marine grade copper strand wire. It isn't junk. It was about the highest quality harness that could be manufactured then and probably still is now.

The modular components that it plugged into though have in the past and still do cause issues that generally get blamed on the harness and can damage it.

There are alternatives now to them that do improve greatly the overall dependability, reliability and even the ergonomics now though.

That is not a harness issue. Anyone is best advised to leave the original harness alone and deal with better, updated components.
