I don't shop at Sears enough to have known that (thanks for the insight). I used to buy more there, but I've gone through 2 Craftsman cordless drills that died far too quickly (both made in China), while my 'Rigid' from HD (also from China) has lasted far longer, so Sears has kinda lost my business for tools, and I've just assumed that all of their product is coming from non-NA sources - my most recent purchase at Sears was a Kenmore washer which I later found out was a rebranded LG or some such made overseas.
I bought new seat belts from one of the vendors for my cat, and guess what, made in Taiwan! It's not as easy to keep foreign (non Italian or American) parts out of our cars as some might hope - even when you purchase from our primary North American sources.
