Sorry to say Craftsman hand tools are made for Sears by Danaher Tools and are a mix of USA and import.

Craftsman Power tools are import.

Quality has most definitely suffered in recent years.

Craftsman wrenches, sockets etc. are still marked made in the US. Their low end tools are in fact imported primarily Chinese. Sadly I have noticed that some of their new offerings in their “professional” line pliers are made in China. A bad omen of things to come.

As for their power tools they seem to be all Chinese made. When I was shopping for a new cordless drill I could not find a single brand not made in China. I purchased a “Milwaukee” lithium that has been in their local repair shop 4 times. They have replaced the charger, lithium batteries, motor, and trigger switch. Pretty sad.
