Don't worry about it. Thanks to Marlin's suggestion, and some 3/8" steel fuel line, I have it fixed.

Was able to cut the tube above the first splice, fab a new splice, and braze in the fuel line. Also brazed in a collar where the tube enters the block for a stopper. Now it is stronger that new!
