Year Identification of Pantera 73/74

Not to sound stupid here (but someone has ta do it).

My title for 6927 has NE for the Year/Month which according to the Pantera Chassis/Body manual by Ford would say it was "born" in December of 1973. Now, the title has 1974.

Is the car a 1973 as it would indicate, or just that it was called a 1974 because it was sold in 1974 (lets say, like in USA).

I'd like to get all of the paperwork straight for the future if at all possible.
