Reply to "Your tax dollars at work"

This is the kind of crap that has put the country in debt to the tune of over $11 trillion dollars TODAY. The politicians say the deficit is no big deal because based on the economic growth, as a percentage of the economy we stay the same....until the economy starts to shrink(recession).

Not trying be political on this because both parties have been doing this and are guilty. But the facts are facts...let me say first I voted for Bush, and the republicans and they didn't do what I expected. When Clinton left office the deficit was around $5.5 trillion...in just six years with the republicans controlling the Senate, the House and the White House (you need all three to spend us into oblivion) they almost doubled the deficit to over $9 trillion...what do we have now with our current political environment...more of the same.

Take a look at these links...you will be shocked. I haven't verified if the numbers are exact but try doing a google search on the NATIONAL DEBT...it's amazing.

So to keep paying just the interest on the national debt, we get taxed and taxed and taxed. The worst part is there are estimates that the deficit is projected to go to $20 trillion in the next decade due the insane spending habbits of our elected officials. The interest payments on that projected debt "when interert rates go back up will be stagering". An author of a book said that the interest payments on the debt could slowly squeeze everything thing else but Education, Health care and Social Security expenses out of the budget...military would be continually squeezed...then what? These are projections and I'm sure there are people with the opposite view... but you do the math...it's a huge problem.

I live in Kaleefornea and our state is in such a mess because of the same thing...deficit spending and the politicians that won't balance the budget...we have an estimated deficit for the coming fiscal year of $21 billion...our legislatures plan floated the other day when all the new taxation bills were voted down was spending cuts $8-9 billion, borrower $8-9 billion and more taxes and fees of $3 billion...this is just for this coming year. So since that won't fly...ARNOLD is going to Washington to ask for a bail out....thank you in advance to all my friends in other states for helping us out!!!

Our governments are broken. It's time to throw the bastards out.
