David, you are right, I chose the adapted flange that requires no other mods, simple. I run 180's and on the outer side I used the conical boot ( no exhaust ). I still prefer the high speed boot as it keeps the grease concentrated in the C.V.
Theirs on more thing, it is important to note that the conical boot is susceptible to tears from road debris, once dislodged or torn the C.V. will collect dirt and ruin the joint.The only way to tear a high speed boot is to extend the angel of the shaft to extremes, like a broken coil over.
