ZF & Clutch Out

Well, pulled my ZF and the clutch out tonight with the help of John Namisnak.
T/O bearing was in perfect shape. McLeod Clutch disc had a spring missing that had come loose from the top from the retainer breaking away, found it lodged in the pressure plate. Also found that the clutch disc was cracked within the metal housing on the outside of the disc. Noticing the pattern on the flywheel, you'll see finger prints of engagement and seperation. There is an obvious missing area which I'm sure was causing the the grinding of gears since there was not a total disengagement or total engagement in that area causing an unbalanced disc. Hence the vibration I've been feeling
Next will be going inside the ZF to see what damage has happen inside. Have some slop, will see what's inside over the weekend and post the results.
I will be having the pressure plate & disc rebuilt by George at McLeod, replacing the T/O bearing & inter bearing in the flywheel (can't think of the name of it, it's late and I'm tired) and the flywheel with a Alum. one. :-)
