Please beware of "new in crate" ZF offers. When Ford canned the Pantera, many dealers had a stock of crated ZF's that they sold very cheap - I've heard as low as $700. They were in great condition at the time, but if they have sat in a damp location for thirty years, you may find a nice looking case filled with useless rusted bearings and gears. While they can be beautiful cherry NOS units, any crated ZF should be opened and inspected prior to purchase.
