I think they should be sonic tested to see how thick the thrust part of the bores are. Some seem to be too thin for performance usage especially on a stroker.

I would not expect to get them cheap either. Everyone knows what they are. It's not like it came out of a delivery truck.

They were special order then but available through Ford.

I couldn't even venture a guess but by comparison a 427 Ford block PROBABLY will cost you $5,000.
