Simple question on changing A/C belt | The De Tomaso Forums

To get the old belt off and the new on I have to move the idler. How do I do that? From front to rear I can see:
19mm nut
Idler wheel
17mm "nut", flat on 2 opposing sides, round otherwise
Bracket
19mm nut

I've loosened the front 19mm nut, doesn't help.
I've tried loosening the rear 19mm nut, bit difficult to get to, but with a proper socket and extension I got hold of it from beneath the car. But I can't get it loose, even with using my whole weight for momentum.

How do I get the idler loose

...You have to use a long 'Breaker Bar'! 18-20 Inches. Working from under the car may be the only way...

You were right, just needed twice the torque...
