I am venturing into another hobby-based Pantera enterprise.

I am now offering lock re-keying for Pantera door and trunk locks.

They left the factory with all three locks keyed alike. But many owners now have two or even three different keys for their mis-matched locks.

I can fix that. Easily, quickly and affordable.

$25 per re-key, parts included, if you send me JUST the lock barrels. Still-assembled door and trunk locks that require disasembly a bit more, depending.

Returned with USPS Priority Mail, insured shipping in USA for $12.

International orders are not a problem. Will ship them, at my cost, in small box at the First-Class package international rate.

For the do-it-yourselfer, I can provide new-manufacture, OEM matching, keyed-alike lock sets for $60. Two bare door lock barrels with two keys.

I also have a small supply of hard-to-find lock pieces allowing me to complete an incomplete lock, or even create a new, matching door or trunk lock.

I re-keyed an owner’s trunk lock last month, and just shipped an entire duplicate door lock with square bezel to another owner, keyed to match his existing lock.

For this to be an ongoing venture, I will need to continue finding the hard to get pieces. If you have any door/trunk lock pieces in your junk drawer, please let me know so I can trade for or buy them from you.

I especially need these pieces:

SQUARE CHROMED DOOR LOCK BEZELS

SMALL, GREY CAST POT METAL PIECES WITH THE ‘BALL’ that are attached to the rear of the lock barrel with a small spring pin

TRUNK LOCK HOUSING AND PLUNGER PIECES

OEM PLASTIC DOOR LOCK BUCKETS

I will be at the Fun Rally should anyone want to deliver items to me in Monterey.

I talked with Steve Wilkinson recently about his lock assembly parts availability.

Turns out he does have individual door lock components available, so you don't have to buy an entire assembly should you just need to replace a broken part. Not shown on his online catalog, however.

But he does not offer support for the OEM trunk lock assembly or pieces. He does offer a functional replacement assembly, using a Pantera-style key, but he does not offer it re-keyed to your door locks.

I do have OEM trunk lock assemblies available, and can re-key them to match your doors.

I know locks are a low-concern issue for most owners, but the vendors no longer seem able to offer full support.

I am just trying to fill that gap for those in need.

A Pantera owner from Japan was in the states for business recently and extended his journey to include attendance at the PCNC Super Bowl party.

Prior to leaving Japan he approached Mike Drew to see if he could obtain a trunk lock for his Pantera, which had a Rube Goldberg replacement that was nowhere close to stock.

After Mike contacted me I exchanged emails with Hiro and learned he had an original key... and it had the four number key code stamped in it. Smiler

Long story short, I was able to consult my key code booklet and had an assembled trunk lock waiting for Hiro at the Super Bowl party. His key fit perfectly and he returned to Japan a happy camper.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to let any other owners in a similar situation know that if I can obtain the four number key code I can build lock cylinders to match.
