'71 Cougar Based on Pantera?

If you click to the auction, read the questions in their entirety too. Someone questions how a 112.5" wheelbase car will fit onto the Pantera's 98.4" wheelbase frame.

I saw that too during my morning ritual of clicking ebay and searching Pantera-boat-bike band -etc. I never opeened it up. I figured the only common is the Cleveland.

LOL, I think they got their cats mixed up, Cougar,Panther. It might have a Girling caliper at best. But I don't think so.

I can't visit ebay from work, so I had to wait until I arrived home this evening to see what you were writing about.

The owner mentions one of the changes they made to the car was installation of dual exhaust, yet he claims it has a factory installed NASCAR motor. That would mean Ford installed a NASCAR motor with a single exhaust system. NOT!

The only thing deTomaso about that car is that it "may" have sat in the same showroom as a Pantera.

The seller writes the Pantera-based information was supplied by the dealer when the car was originally purchased new. It just goes to show what lengths car salesmen will go to to sell a car!
