Most if not all the commercial Pantera parts vendors are located in Southern CA and can do this. They are frequently asked by insurance companies to testify on disputed valuations. And many of the long-time owners in your area will gladly go look at a car, with or without you, if it is not already well-known to the Pantera community. I suggest you join a Pantera club and gain some very valuable insight into the various models, modifications and weak spots of this fine DeTomaso automobile, before you purchase. Attending one of the various Tech Sessions held during the year in all areas of the country is very enlightening, too (as well as being a motorhead party thats free!)
while i appreciate your input i am looking for a specific referral. not smoke and mirrors. 17 years, ncrs membership and 6 corvettes later i have searched for (currently) 2 years for the right highest- end pantera. i have on-lined, forumed, and contacted all. i have missed the opportunity and passed on $60-90m cars.

i really need a specific referral. is there anyone out there with this information or help? anyone?

thanks,

dave
Jack gave you a good idea. Call Gary Hall ask him his price to perform an appraisal, or Dave Adler at PI, or Bob Byers at Precison Pro Performance or Lance Nist. Panteras by their age and orphan nature are usually out of the purview of typical auto appraisers. You want a knowledgeable specialist, so, call one and see what they can advise.

Dave,

PCNC had an appraiser attend one of our tech sessions back in 2002. She is well qualified and known in the automotive appraising business. She has done Panteras previous to our event, did about 8-10 at that event, and I had her do mine shortly after purchase. Very pleasant and professional, will run in the range of $250. She is based in Felton/Santa Cruz, but does travel. Contact Julie Summerville at Pacific Automobile Appraisers - 831-335-1322 or 831-479-4990. Tell her Larry Finch of PCNC sent you her way.

Larry
