I've never needed to do this, but as I understand it, one attaches a flex hose to the output side(s) of the master leading to a jar, fills the brake reservoir, clamps down the cap and starts pumping using a hand-held rod or a Phillips screwdriver. The advantage is you can manipulate the whole assembly in your hands to be sure of getting all the air out. Then when its installed in a car, there is a fairly quick bleed cycle since most of the air in the system is gone except in the lines. Some non-Pantera masters even have bleeder fittings built into the castings.
