Cooling system

I am looking for recommendations on how to set the cooling system up on a car with a SVO block and heads with no provision for a thermostat.The car will be driven mainly on the street in the summer time.Has anyone used a Meziere electric water pump successfully on the street?

I recently checked out Jason Eaton's car, with a BMW (I think) t-stat, that he plumbed
in the system, near the radiator.
I have images.
I believe it is described in the curret/ or next PI issue.

It is a large, non-flow impeading valve.
