How is the front grill emblem attached to the grill? I am wanting to replace mine. It is an early 1972 model. #3040

Paul, I believe the emblem holder the chrome thingy has studs welded to the back. The studs go thru the mesh and fasten with a nut and washer. The emblem itself has its own studs and fasten to the chrome holder. Its been 5 years now since I have that apart hope I remembered it correctly.
